Ross Everett Altman

My interests center on how structure shapes and encodes information, giving rise to emergent, real-world behavior.

I've pursued this through the study of geometry, symmetry, representation, and complex systems, and I continue to apply it through the design of algorithms, production systems, and pipelines that embody these principles. I'm especially interested in interdisciplinary knowledge building and adapting mature frameworks from one domain to emerging problems in another to drive innovation forward.

I am a Staff Machine Learning Engineer at Inari Agriculture and maintainer of a large, open-source data resource serving the international String Theory community.
